LCAS’ certified non-magnetic stabilizer balance weight is manufactured from non-magnetic materials to help minimize electromagnetic interference with survey equipment that may be installed in or on the aircraft.

The existing balance weight will be removed from the stabilizer and replaced with a non-magnetic version of the same weight, size and dimensions as the original. There will be no effect on the flight handling characteristics of the aircraft from the installation of this non-magnetic stabilizer balance weight. Operating limitations and operational procedures will also not be affected by the installation.
