Brad is skilled at locating odd and unusual things. He started in the LCAS Parts Department in 2002 and was formerly a maintenance engineer for both rotary and fixed wing aircraft. He rides his bike to work – a 20 km round trip – as late in the year as the weather allows. He plays the guitar, and goes fishing, canoeing, and snowshoeing.
Brian joined LCAS in 2006. He looks after all our maintenance needs as well as picking up and delivery of parts. When not working, he and his wife enjoy their time together.
Chris joined the LCAS team in 2016 bringing 30 years of welding experience with over 10 years in the specialty skilled TIG process, mainly in the Aviation Industry. Chris enjoys hockey, curling as well as volunteering as a special Olympics coach.
Dave joined the LCAS team in 2014. After 30 years as a Production Supervisor with Michelin Tire Company, he brings to LCAS the work ethic of safety, quality and productivity and the manufacturing experience. In 1969 Dave received his pilots license courtesy of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets and had hoped then to work in the Aircraft Industry. After more than 45 years, he is now living his dream. On his off time, he enjoys spending time with his wife at the cottage where he has constructed an aircraft hanger for his Challenger Float Plane.
Derek joined the LCAS team for a brief period in 2014 and returned in 2016. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick . In his free time he enjoys reading, martial arts and playing sports.
After a 5 year term in the RCAF, Elton started his own aviation business in 1964 at the Orangeville Airport. In September of 1975 he relocated the business to Muskoka where it continued to grow over the years into a world class maintenance and manufacturing facility. Elton is widely recognized as a Canadian aviation leader with deep experience in the amphibian and airborne geophysical survey markets.
Evan began spending his summers at LCAS in 2009 at the age of 16 and has developed a true passion for aviation. He graduated from the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Program at Canadore College in 2012. When he’s not at work, he enjoys restoring vintage snowmobiles and motorcycles, or spending time boating, wakeboarding and mountain biking.
With 34 years of dedicated, multi-faceted aviation experience at LCAS, Jim continues to provide experienced leadership to the LCAS staff. His passion for all things aviation shines through in his countless accomplishments. There is no project too small or too complex – from concept to completion, Jim provides the desired results. During his down time, Jim’s number one priority is spending time with his family.
Ken has been a Machinist since 1999 and joined LCAS since 2011. He also holds a diploma in Marketing and is a Small Engine Mechanic. He enjoys living in Muskoka and all it has to offer, spending a great deal of his off time hunting, fishing, camping and enjoying the outdoors with his family.
Kirk has aviation in his blood and has been designing and building composite aircraft since he was 16 years old. At age 25 he obtained a private pilots license and now, with 40 years of design experience in the field, brings a strong knowledge of composite construction methods, CAD Modelling and aerodynamic flow analysis to the team. Kirk began working with us in 1995 had has been designing and fabricating many of the unique” non-metallic” survey solutions that are available only at LCAS.
Kirk has three grown children and is still married to his wife Anne after 32 years of aviation togetherness. In his spare time he enjoys designing his own composite aircraft, brewing beer, barbequing and beekeeping.
Joining the LCAS team in 2013, Kyle has successfully applied his engineering skills to multiple LCAS projects. Kyle holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree with distinction in Aerospace but he is not stopping there. Kyle is continuing his education on line and is presently enrolled in a B. Sc. Applied Mathematics program. His hobbies include cross country glider flying and motorcycling.
Lindsay joined the LCAS team in 2013. With a short break in 2016, Lindsay happily rejoined the team in 2017. Her duties revolve around managing and distributing information for Aircraft Maintenance. In her spare time, she enjoys DIY-projects around the house, portage and camping trips, as well as spending time with her family.
Mike G. joined the LCAS team in 2008, and offers 38 years of diverse experience to the production floor. He enjoys the Muskoka life including hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.
Mike P. has been a machinist since 1982 and joined LCAS in 2012. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, boating and kayaking.
Paul’s forty year career in aviation began by pumping gas at the Peterborough airport as a kid. He brings a strong background as a high performance Test Pilot, professional instructor, fleet manager and years of aircraft construction, maintenance and engineering to the LCAS Team. Combining this with over thirty-five years of aircraft sales experience rounds out his skill set. Paul likes to fly his personal aircraft for recreation. He is an avid hunter, angler and competitive shooter. He enjoys spending time at home on the farm with his family, which includes his Yellow Lab, Daisy.
Phillip brings 35 years of experience to the LCAS production floor. He served in the Royal Canadian Airforce for 23 years and enjoys curling and all that the great outdoors has to offer.
Rob graduated from the Aircraft Structures Repair Program at Canadore college in 1999 and immediately began perfecting his craft with LCAS. Rob also holds an honors BA from Nipissing University in Environmental Geography. During Rob’s down time he is a dedicated Lacrosse Coach, winning Gold in the Provincial Championships Pee Wee Box Lacrosse (2013) and a Silver in the Provincial Championships Girls Intermediate Box Lacrosse (2015).
Simon comes to LCAS with 16 years of experience in sales, marketing and non-profit fundraising. After living and working in Santiago, Chile, Buenos Aires, Argentina and Los Angeles, California; Simon returned to Canada and has embraced the Canadian way of life by coaching youth hockey and baseball.
Sruli Weinreb is the Chief Executive Officer of LCAS. In addition, Mr. Weinreb is the founder and managing partner of Plaza Capital Inc. Plaza Capital supports many North American early stage growth companies with strategic debt placements and equity investments.
Sruli is an active member of the Toronto Community where he lives with his wife and four children.
Trish joined LCAS in 2006. Her keen eye and attention to detail ensure that every document and drawing contains the correct information. When she is not at work, Trish enjoys the outdoors and what Muskoka has to offer, camping, fishing, baseball or just spending time with family.
