LCAS’ fully certified (Supplemental Type Certificate) horizontal stabilizer fitting is an approved replacement for the OEM part.  It provides a permanent means of compliance with AD 2005-12-02.  The LCAS part is made from 4130 alloy steel, and cadmium plated.  Its installation provides improved service life, and greater fatigue and damage resistance for the horizontal stabilizer structure.  The LCAS part will provide superior service life when compared to the original part, which is made from aluminum.
