The Seawind Story

This beautiful Seawind was built by a meticulous Owner who worked with a professional composite-experienced, licenced Aviation Maintenance Organization (AMO) to perform the construction to ensure safety and quality throughout.  He equipped it for IFR travel with a very full and complete King avionics panel including an STEC 55 Autopilot.  The IO-540K engine pumps out 300 smooth horsepower to get you downrange fast in this sleek aircraft!   The Hartzell 3 blade prop is like new and is the reliable work-horse of aluminum seaplane propellers,

This Seawind has been flown carefully and has always lived in a good hangar at the same airport at which it was built.  This means that all maintenance has been performed by the same company who built it which has real value for the next Owner. Continuity of care means a lot!

The present Owner has enjoyed many decades of flying but has now retired. Like all pilots, his Seawind has been a hard part of his life and his family to let go.  But, it’s time for a new pilot to enjoy the speed, range and comfort of this gorgeous, extremely well-built travelling machine!

This Seawind is not for low-time amateur pilots.  It is a Complex, High Performance, Amphibious aircraft that requires a Type Rating to fly due its wing loading as well as a Single Engine Seaplane (SES) Rating for water operations.  If you are a serious, qualified pilot, (or one who is prepared to obtain the proper Type Rating, which is ten hours on-type), and an SES Rating, who wants to step up to the fastest single engine amphib flying today, please reach out to us!  It’s a big planet with lots of fresh and salt water, so what’s better than being able to go where you want quickly and pull up on the beach? Stop dreaming, start flying!

If you are seriously interested in purchasing this aircraft, please give us a call and begin living the amphibious lifestyle.
