History:

This Zodiac 601XLB is a superb trainer and remarkably comfortable cross country flyer.  It is nimble, quick and fun to fly! It is remarkably robust and handles crosswinds with ease. It was built by very experienced, professional builders in Kitchener and Brampton, Ontario.  Workmanship standard is excellent and fit and finish is as one would expect from professional builders. It was Test Flown and the first 25 Proving Hours flown off by professional Test Pilot, Paul Briggs

After completion and Proving, the original Owner / Builder only got to fly in his new aircraft once before his life insurance company advised that they would not provide insurance if he continued to fly in General Aviation aircraft.  This was a huge disappointment!  The aircraft was subsequently sold to a gentleman in Fort McMurray, Alberta in 2016.  It was ferried to Westlock,  Alberta on an instructional flight the day that Fort Mac began to burn.  Thankfully, the new Owner’s home was saved.

The new Owner has a nice, tidy and well-equipped insulated hangar at Westlock and C-GUPR has happily resided there ever since.  She has had the best of care and not a penny has ever been spared on her maintenance. The Owner is finding the round trip drive to Westlock too much so is using his beautiful airplane too little.  Additionally, he is moving up the ranks to larger and more complex aircraft toward a potential future side-line career in aviation.

This gorgeous Zenair Zodiac 601XLB is pure fun and economical to fly.  The view is amazing and the cabin is comfortable in all seasons for cross country flying.  She needs to fly more, so don’t miss this chance to purchase what is probably the best-built, best equipped and best flying Zenair Zodiac 601XLB anywhere!
