Comments
There is no finer or more original Grumman Widgeon in the world today. It is, and has continuously been, maintained by experts to Museum Quality. It has been maintained on the “Open Chequebook Policy”…whatever it has needed, it has gotten without fail.
This aircraft has been Canadian owned and maintained to DOT / CAR’s standard for decades by people who took the time to learn and know about these Classic aircraft. The Logbooks are detailed and documentation is excellent.
C-FNOX had a recent major corrosion inspection in 2020 and nothing of any significance was found. It is impossible to say that C-FNOX has never seen salt water in its more than 75 years, but it does not show any adverse effects and has lived in fresh water country for its Canadian life and before that in New York State.
We have run Flyable Inhibiting Oil for some time and start and run the engines on a regular basis in winter. She is flown regularly during Spring, Summer and Fall. She is a real powerhouse and a delight to fly. Water run is about 14 seconds at training weight.
She starts well and reliably, which is critical for water operations.
