C-FGMI is a good, solid 1973 LA-4-200 Buccaneer with only 2145 hrs Total Time.  It has been owned by a well-known and respected member of our Lake Family for many years, having made many appearances at Killarney and other Lake events.  This airplane has had plenty of routine and preventative maintenance over the years by Lake Central, including its most recent Annual Inspection on January 02, 2019.

Everything on GMI works and it is a good performer. Take-off is brisk as a result of Lake Central “Batwings” and Leading Edge Fairings.  It cruises along very nicely at 23″/2300 rpm at 120 mph. Fuel flow is about 10 gph.  With 54 gallons of fuel (40 in the main tank and 7 in each sponson) you have about four hours endurance with a safe reserve. That puts you almost five hundred miles into excellent fishing country!  In cooler weather, the factory-installed Janitrol Cabin Heater will keep you warm.

A nice, comfortable interior in very good, clean condition makes the cockpit and cabin a great place to have a bird’s eye view.

While travelling away-from-base, it is always nice to have a canopy cover and an engine cover to protect your airplane. GMI comes with both of these Extra’s.

Featuring a low-time engine (778 hrs) and an almost brand new propeller (35 hrs, Sept 5, 2017), as well as a long list of STC’s and Modifications, and some very nice Extra’s, GMI represents an excellent investment in a reliable, very capable airplane that is already in a very high degree of Airworthiness.  For those seeking a turn-key airplane to get flying right away, GMI is an excellent choice today and for many years to come.

This well-loved Buccaneer won’t last long with Spring coming!  Join our Lake Family and enjoy the benefits of the Lake Lifestyle!
